Like many of you I’m sure, I’ve never quite found something to do with my crochet hooks that I was happy with. I have several of the generic hook cases (the little red things that come with a set of hooks) and I also have a little latch box that I keep hooks and needles in. But today I had enough of those. They just aren’t very travel acceptable in my book. All of them take up too much space in my teeny tiny purse! Though the general hook books are good at keeping your hooks organized by size, I just can’t stand them. They’re ugly for one and again they’re just too wide. So, this morning I got fed up and decided I was going to make my own!
This is my very special, compact little hook case! It takes up no more space than a reading glasses case and it’s something that won’t get broken or react negatively to squishing! The case’s top is sewn on in back and it has a pretty little button sewn on the front for latching. And I tested it too! I held it upside down and shook with everything I had! The only issues I had were with my tiniest steel hooks! Only one poked through the top and it was only the tip! This marked a success in my book. I’m so pleased with how this came out that I might just have to make more and take them to the local market!
